Certificate in Sports Psychology
In the last decade or so, sports psychology has become an essential
part of the makeup of the modern athlete. Attempting to fathom out what is the winning mind takes such investigations one step further - helping the aspiring athlete and the motivational coach find a formula that works for them, ensuring that success will ultimately mean failure for their competitors! This sports psychology course is aimed at both coaches and participants. Unlocking the secrets of the competitive mind has been investigated, tested and evaluated over many years and there are many examples of success and failure.
The easy-to-follow modules are as follows:
Programme Length The programme can be delivered as a fast track course or a part time course. The length for part time study should be no more than 5 months and no less than 7 days for fast track entry. Contact the centre for actual dates and delivery of the programme. |
Assessment
All units will be internally assessed by the delivering institute. Student will need to show that they meet each of the assessment criteria detailed within each unit, to the required standard for the level of the unit. Certificates are awarded once the candidate fulfills the criteria. Assessment process can include assignment submission or examination based on delivery centre's preference. Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults Cricket
The qualification is designed to provide a prospective cricket coach with an introduction to the principles and practices of safe, ethical and effective management and coaching of young people over the age of 14 and adults’ during cricket coaching sessions in an appropriate environment. The skills and competencies developed during the qualification include how to prepare/plan, deliver and monitor/evaluate young people and adults’ cricket coaching sessions.
Units The qualification is composed of eight mandatory units. Upon completion of the qualification, you will receive 18 credits. During your achievement of the qualification you will complete the following learning outcomes:
Assessment Programmes of learning and assessment are normally three-days long and involve a mixture of practical and theoretical activities to support your development as a cricket coach for young people and adults. You will be assessed on the completion of a series of written tasks, delivery of a number of short/micro coaching activities and online activities, including multiple-choice questions. |
This qualification is designed for
The qualification is designed to prepare coaches for employment in paid or voluntary roles within a young people and adults’ cricket environment. The qualification is ideal for young people, experienced current or former players or parents. Eligibility You must be 17 years of age or older to register for the qualification. Furthermore, to be certificated for this qualification you must be aged 18, you must have undergone training related to the protection of children and vulnerable adults from abuse, and you must have completed a police verification. This is due to the responsibilities associated with young people and adults’ cricket coaching. Registration Cost Registration cost is £560 payable to EUAAB. |
"All the short course certificates will be delivered to the centre within 14 days of the course completion. All the candidates can verify their completion through the online verification service. A fee may be payable unless otherwise stated by the delivering centre."
